Over the past few years I have acquired a number of taste room sample glasses. I had them perilously sitting in my kitchen cabinets, and a few times bumped them to where they almost fell on the floor and broke. So I decided to do something to protect them. So I took a look at my scrap pile and decided to try and make something using some oak faced plywood remnants.

So some rough cuts to bring them to size, and it was time for some glue and clamping time.

After that I trimmed it to size, and bored two different sized holes in one to account for the base, and the bowl of the glasses so they did not wobble around.

I added a nice edge camfer to finish out the design a bit, and of course few sanding passes.

After that I decided to use a few coats of Feed-N-Wax to finish it out. I was looking to seal it, without hiding the multi-layered look of the plywood itself. All in all not too bad for a quick weekend project.
